Hi everyone- Kinokuniya has officially extended my show until Thursday, Jan 15th, so I've decided to throw a closing reception. For this event I'll be teaming up with a fellow Japanese-American Kaoru Watanabe who is a phenomenal musician and plays the Fue (japanese wooden flute) and the Taiko drums. He will be joined by Shoji Kameda, an equally accomplished Taiko drummer. I've really had a blast showcasing my work at Kinokuniya and wanted to have this last opportunity to celebrate and share great Japanese music with all of you. BLUE NIGHTS Book Launch + new exhibition
6/20/2008
There will be an exhibition of images from the book at Ernden Fine Art Gallery at 397 Commercial Street in Provincetown from Friday, June 27th - Thursday July 10th. The opening is on Friday, June 27th from 7-9 pm.
A book signing commemorating the official release of Blue Nights will be at the annual Provincetown Arts Publication Party on Friday, July 11th from 5-7 pm at the Provincetown Arts Association Museum at 460 Commercial Street (also in Provincetown).
The book should be available for purchase on Amazon.com very soon.
There will also be a NYC exhibition and book signing in the fall at Bowman/Bloom in the East Village which I will anounce when everything is set. The book has been a long time coming and I'm very excited that it is finally being released and that these images are being shown.
New Press Items:
Artscope Magazine, Provincetown Magazine, and the Provincetown Banner have all written very supportive articles in their June 2008 issues about the project which can be downloaded from my Press section.
